Michael Powell strives to create art that allowing light, color and composition to come together in an ethereal quality that take takes you to another place -- a place to rest and find a sense of peace.  Originally, Michael moved to Hawaii at age 29 to embark on a business career at Bank of Hawaii.  Michael’s love of art led him to become the protégé of renowned Hawaii artist Hiroshi Tagami. The two forged an enduring relationship highlighted by their partnership with the Tagami & Powell Gallery -- a place of art, music, laughter and healing.
