Food is a big part of the lifestyle of Hawaii. That’s why we have created beautiful Koa dining accessories and partnered with the finest craftsmen in Hawaii to offer you the best in serveware, cutlery, glassware, and local foods.
We feature the finest knives with Koa handles. Our premium line of Koa cutlery is made with super hard blades sourced in Japan and Europe, such as the VG-10 stainless steel with a Damascus pattern. Big Island craftsman Gregg Salter makes these knives exclusively for us. He hand carves the Koa handles for each knife, individually.
Our Martin & MacArthur Koa serving and cutting boards are the best in Hawaii. We use our own premium grade of furniture Koa to make our serving boards. Our Koa serving and cutting boards are made from solid Koa, not veneers. Each serving board is hand-crafted in our Furniture Workshop in Honolulu, using smaller "shorts" of Koa wood resulting from making our fine Koa furniture. Each of our Koa serving boards is an exclusive design made by our own craftsmen. Like any wood board, this one will show marks if used to cut. Many people choose to use these beautiful boards to serve appetizers, known as pupus in Hawaiian. All of our Koa serving boards show a deep, rich color and swirling grain pattern, unique to Koa. There's no wood more beautiful than Koa in the world. The fluttering curl often found in Koa wood is almost three-dimensional. All our Koa comes from dead and previously fallen trees from the Big Island. Absolutely no trees are cut down to make any of our Koa items.
We feature a wide selection of Koa serveware and tableware to make every aspect of your dining and entertaining elegant. Our wine accessories include beautiful Koa wine stands and combination Koa cork screws/bottle openerswhere are both popular and functional.
And your party will not be the same without our selection of the finest local foods available in Hawaii. Jeff Gomes Lilikoi Butter is rated the finest in the islands. But, we are partial to his Upcountry Guava Butter and Lilikoi jelly.
Forbes Magazine rates Koa Plantation Coffee the smoothest in the world and one of the magazine’s “top finds.” Why take it from any source less credible than Forbes Magazine when you are trying to select the best Kona coffee to buy. We are the sole retailer for Koa Plantation coffee, made from a very small plantation south of Kona.
We are delighted to feature the Hawaiian etched glassware made by Hawaii by Oahu glass designer Cynthia Francisco. This etched glassware is the finest in the State of Hawaii. Cynthia etches this glassware exclusively for Martin & MacArthur in her Honolulu home. She draws all her own designs based on her love and appreciation for the flowers of Hawaii. Cynthia's Hawaiian ancestry can be traced back nearly 200 years. She lived for in Kauai 20 years before moving to Honolulu with her family. After retiring from her career as a Hawaii school teacher Cynthia pursued her second love glass etching.
